The Stellaris Cloud platform proudly uses the AGPL v3.0 license, and makes no attempt to alter the available functionality for certain groups. It's designed to be seen and trusted as a public good, and not to push people into a commercial hosted solution in order to get the full benefits.

The App Platform, however, is designed to at least encourage contribution towards the project. Certain first-party apps will be first available to sponsors of the project (via github sponsors), and some may be fully commercialised (though this is not our preference).
